BLOG: BE OTHERS FOCUSED

I want to be real and super honest with you. I open up in this podcast about how I stood in front of the Castle of Disneyland , which I have dreamt of all my life, since I can remember, my dream came true...but.....it wasn't all that I imagined it to be, I stood there seeking fulfillment in what I thought would bring me joy, and it didn't, I wanted more and wondered why...

Now..obviously it is DISNEYLAND, it is amazing and the park does bring joy...what I am saying is...something was still missing....I was not fulfilled from this experience.

I remembered my dad telling me before I got to America, to not focus on myself & my needs, but to be OTHERS FOCUSED.

​

Dad shared with me the scripture he had a revelation from, in Isaiah 40:31 MSG 'But those who WAIT upon God get fresh strength.
They spread their wings and soar like eagles, they run and don’t get tired,
they walk and don’t lag behind.'

​

Waiting on the Lord, to ask Him what He has planned for the day, what He wants, who He wants you to encourage or say Hi to, who needs prayer or a phone call, who needs help or a smile? WAITING on the Lord is where you will be fulfilled, you can be more fulfilled when focusing on OTHERS, and their needs, than having all your dreams come true and only being FOCUSED ON YOURSELF.

You can do anything to make a change, START TODAY, focus on someone else. 

Meet your neighbour, make a meal for someone, help someone at the shops, have a conversation with the person at the grocery store or fuel station, visit someone in hospital, give someone a phone call to say you care, visit a friends sports game.... GIVE or DO something today that gives you no reward, except feeling fulfilled in knowing you FOCUSED ON OTHERS, and blessed someone else. 

Ask God today, who you can focus on.
