I, Jorgie-Leigh, have Type 1 Diabetes. Long story short, I take 4-5 needles of insulin a day to stay alive...sounds scary...some days it isn't...some days it really is, especially when you explain it out loud to friends, like I did yesterday. I realised I made it a part of my identity, now I want to you to join me in thinking differentleigh. whatever your struggle is it doesn't define you.
You are so loved and you are not alone, stop attaching your worth or value to what you have no control over in your body.
I have been praying and asking God, for a scripture to stand on in the hard times. This scripture is about Jesus, what he went through for you and me, he felt pain, he knows what you are feeling, but he died for you & I to be free from this.
1 Peter 4:20-25 in the MSG stood out to me, 'They called him every name in the book and he said nothing back. He suffered in silence, content to let God set things right. He used his servant body to carry our sins to the Cross so we could be rid of sin, free to live the right way. HIS WOUNDS BECAME YOUR HEALING. You were lost sheep with no idea who you were or where you were going.'

Healing can be instant for some, for others a lifetime, for others healing is when they get to Heaven. However, you & I can allow HEALING today.
​
We can be healed in our heart & mind, finding our value and identity in Jesus, not the condition of our health or body.
