BLOG: REALITY CHECK
This week I had a REALITY check...
My iPhone completely died and would not turn back on, I went to the store and was told my phone will not turn on and all that is on it is gone forever.

I had 2 options.....
1. To cry and be dramatic in explaining how my life is on the phone OR
2. Be positive and hold it together, knowing that it is not the end of the world.

I actually chose option 2, I had a revelation....I had a REALITY check.

The world is not going to end, my social world and the world I created came to an end for a few moments, but not the world.
I still have my friends, family and memories.
I don't need my phone to be fulfilled, I can give my best to the people around me by being PRESENT, by focusing on them not my phone and by focusing on the moment and not instantly thinking I must capture this. I can take photos from here on and enjoy the moment, but I am making sure I don't let the social upload or post take over the moment and the people I am with at that time. Life is about more than that.....this is my current REALITY check and I hope it encourages you.
Let's not be the person that is so evident in this generation, seen in Drake's lyrics... 'I know a girl whose one goal was to visit Rome
Then she finally got to Rome
And all she did was post pictures for people at home
'Cause all that mattered was impressin' everybody she's known'.....
I am doing things differentleigh by choosing to look up from my phone more often, because my LIFE is not on my phone, my LIFE is lived when I put my phone down....Join me?
